In the name of the incredible framework of the GDPR: No trackers, no cookies1 to be had here. Just tea. However, this site will use browser storage to remember light/dark mode. Longform entries and experiments may potentially store variables for other user-side functions that may be included. Clearing your browser cache will delete all of that.

I do have a split opinion on JavaScript. It's way too powerful, but can do a lot of fancy things dynamically. Where possible, fallbacks are in place to work without js, or they're going to be implemented sooner or later. Right now the most noticeable part on userside is the dark/light mode selection, plus a couple of lines that fetch the titles of blog posts and longform entries to display them in your tabs' title bar. But since I like tinkering, expect that some junk on here is a Rube Goldberg machine of different methods clinking in and rattling around together. Now, if you should trust JavaScript from me, that is another problem, I namely do not code very well. But if you distrust JavaScript, you probably already turned it off. If you trust me and this site, however, have fun.

Logfiles are regularly deleted on serverside, but visitor counts and other metrics are anonymously registered. I reserve the right to retain phishy IPs for longer, especially if they end up in automated filters anyway. If yours is stuck in there, you probably can't read this message either.

Any link placed here does not mean endorsement of the link or its source, nor is it a statement about its veracity or lack thereof. Links to this blog or longform entries are welcome. If you did actually find anything linking here, I probably also don't know why that happened.

I usually will try to link to the proper source(s) if they can be traced back. If I misattributed the material, and/or you find you are the author of the source, included links, or images, but would prefer it to be corrected, or not even linked here, let me know. If the source is impossible to find elsewhere, I may for documentation purposes include fragments, facsimiles, or copies of the material.

Any media not explicitly stated to be from elsewhere is probably something I made, mocked up, reconstructed, or spontaneously summoned in some incantation circle.

I reserve the right to deny any responsibility for High Strangeness in the wake of material presented or linked here.

Links are subject to link rot. If something breaks far away from this place, I hold no responsibility for what may or may not work on the other end. If anything conks out on this server though, yes, it did.

This site was made with a keyboard, notepad++, Kate, and a broom. That means, indeed, that it most likely broke somewhere between day and night. Actually you're best off expecting just about anything to be broken. Sometimes I might even notice it. During fixes or experiments, expect things to be drastically broken, actually. Other parts may be broken on purpose.

Inaccurate Server History (Paleoastronautics & Retrocausality)

1 - There is a cookie hidden somewhere around this place. Good luck finding it. If you do, mail me a screenshot. The first entry wins. No, I don't know either what. But since this is a note regarding DOM storage: clearing browser cache might also result in the riddle breaking. [Back to Footnote1]
